NYSID Faculty and Staff Judge Entries for Westchester Home’s 2013 Design Awards The Winter 2013 issue of Westchester Home magazine includes the winners of their annual Design Awards, chosen from more than 125 submissions from area designers and architects. This year’s judges were made up entirely of NYSID faculty and staff: Veronica Whitlock, NYSID’s associate dean, and faculty members edro Lima, John Buscarello, Don Kossar, and Margaret Mintz. Summing up the sentiments from the panel, John Buscarello said, “Overall, the winners exhibited a wonderful sense of materials. I liked how a strong sense of modernism exerted its influence in these traditional spaces.” In addition to our usual offering of graphic communication and technology, professional development, and courses for academic credit, this spring, NYSID’s Institute for Continuing and Professional Studies (ICPS) has new courses that may pique your interest.
